Fateh Sagar Lake is the second artificial lake of Udaipur. This Lake is well-planned with three intake channels and an overflow channel that is usually carried into composition in the rainy season. Fateh Sagar Lake is named after Maharana Fateh Singh who extended the lake during his reign. This lake is an artificial lake constructed by Maharana Jai Singh in north of Lake Pichola in 1678 and to the north-west of Udaipur.
It is roughly about 1 square km in size, but the size changes according to the rain it receives. This lake is the combination of three small islands. One can reach to this place by taking a boat ride in the lake. Blue water of the lake and the backdrop of green give the view of ‘the second Kashmir’ to Udaipur town.
